Shark Conservation in the Galapagos Islands

In order to achieve the conservation of blacktip sharks and their habitats, this project aims at gaining novel information about the movement behavior of shark pups on San Cristóbal Island, Galapagos. With the support and involvement of the local community we used ultrasonic telemetry to track the sharks' movements and reveal scientific information which is crucial to the management and conservation of the sharks' reproductive areas in the Galapagos archipelago.
